Who was Bob Saget?
Bob Saget American stand-up comedian, actor, and television host made it onto the big screens with the role in the hit series Full House while also hosting America's Funniest Home Videos from 1989 to 1997.
Bob Saget – Age, Parents, Siblings
Bob Saget was born Robert Lane Saget on May 17, 1956, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States as Robert Lane Saget. His father Benjamin Saget worked as a supermarket executive and his mother Rosalyn Saget worked as a hospital administrator.
Saget’s sister Gay Saget was diagnosed with scleroderma at the age of 43 and died at the age of 47. His other sister, Andrea Saget, died of an aneurysm at age 34. He also had two other siblings who died in childbirth before he was born.
When Saget was 2 years old, he moved to Lexington, Virginia with his parents. He went to Rockbridge County High School but did not graduate from there. After the family moved back to Philadelphia, he joined Abington Senior High School.

After graduating from Abington Senior High School, Bob Saget thought of becoming a doctor. But his English teacher saw his potential in films and advised him to do so. Thus, Saget attended Temple University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Arts in the year 1978. Initially, he had decided to join the University of Southern California but quite a few days later.
His ethnicity was Ashkenazi-Jewish.

Bob Saget – Girlfriend, Wife, Children, Divorce
Bob Saget was married to Sherri Kramer Saget. The two had tied the knot on 16 May 1982. They have three daughters- Twins Aubrey Saget and Lara Melanie Saget (born October 16, 1989) and Jennifer Belle Saget (born November 18, 1992). After 15 years of marriage, it crumbled. He and his ex-wife finalized their divorce on 10 November 1997.
After the divorce, he dated Hope Dworaczyk from 2011 to 2012. He dated his girlfriend Kelly Rizzo and their relationship was a whole lot more serious after he proposed to Rizzo on October 3, 2018. On October 30, 2018, Saget announced via Instagram that they had married and remained so until his death on January 9, 2022.

Bob Saget – Career
Early Days
In 1987, he was cast in CBS' The Morning Program but the show lasted a very short time. Soon he landed the role of Danny Tanner in be hit series Full House.
Over the years he has worked in shows such as ABC’sFor Hope (1996), Dirty Work (1998), Half Baked (1998), Raising Dad, Entourage, Farce of the Penguins, The Drowsy Chaperone, Surviving Suburbia (April 2009), Strange Days (2010), Grandfathered, among others.

Host, Comedy, Books
He hosted America's Funniest Home Videos (1989-1997),1 vs. 100 (2006-2008), CBS’s How I Met Your Mother. He also was the winner of The Dating Game in 1979.
Bob Saget’s comedy specials include That Ain't Right (August 28, 2007), and That's What I'm Talkin' About (2014). He toured with a stand-up show called Bob Saget Live: The Dirty Daddy Tour.
He is also an author and released the book Dirty Daddy in 2014.
