Who is Rico Nasty?
Rico Nasty is a rapper, and record producer by profession, and American by nationality. Born as Maria-Cecilia Simone Kelly, she is best known for her mixtapes and signed to Atlantic Records in June 2018.

Rico Nasty’s birth took place on May 7, 1997, in New York City, USA. She was born as Maria-Cecilia Simone Kelly to a Puerto Rican mother and an African-American father, who was also a rapper. She is the only child of her parents and has no siblings.
She was raised in Prince George's County, Maryland.

After the family moved to Palmer Park, Maryland she attended Baltimore boarding school. The same year her parents divorced.
Rico Nasty, aged 14 was later expelled from the boarding school after she and another student named Martinez were caught using marijuana. She said in a 2018 interview with Fader that she did not even know how to light a lighter at the time. Then she attended public school.
Her ethnicity is African-American and Puerto Rican.

Rico Nasty was a teen mom. She got birth to her son Cameron in November 2016 at the age of 18. But her boyfriend Brandon, Cameron’s father had died of an asthma attack a few months before their son was born. She pays homage to her later boyfriend in the song titled Brandon.
Currently, she is in dating Malix Foxx, who is also her manager. The couple has been together since 2016 and in 2018 she revealed that they are looking for a house together. They are yet to marry and Foxx is yet to be her husband.

Rico Nasty – Career
Pre-Fame
Rico Nasty started rapping young, being influenced by her father. She continued rapping through high school and released her first mixtape while still in eleventh grade titled Summer's Eve. After graduation, she released two mixtapes in 2016, The Rico Story and Sugar Trap.
She used to work as the front desk receptionist at a hospital. As her mixtapes gained a considerable amount of attention from both media and the public, she left her day job.
Her single Hey Arnold was again released, this time having collaborated with Atlanta rapper Lil Yachty.

Mixtapes, Albums
Over the years, Rico Nasty has released several mixtapes. On May 19, 2017, she released her fourth mixtape Tales of Tacobella followed by Sugar Trap 2 on October 20, 2017, Nasty on June 15, 2018, and Anger Management on April 25, 2019.
In June 2018, she signed with Atlantic Records, making her the seven female rapper on the label including Lizzo, Missy Ellott, Snow Tha Product, Cardi B, Bhad Bhabie, and Maliiby Miitch.
She has also released around 10 singles but has not yet released a studio album. Moreover, Rico Nasty has posed for magazines including Fader and Oyster.

Rico Nasty has collaborated with Baauer, Bali Baby, LIL PHAG, and Doja Cat, among others.
