Who is Megan Thee Stallion?

Megan Thee Stallion is a rapper, choreographed dancer, model by profession, and American by nationality. She signed to  300 Entertainment in November 2018 after releasing her Extended Play (EP) Tina Snow in June 2018 and her album Fever on May 17, 2019.

Megan Thee Stallion – Age, Parents, Siblings

Megan Thee Stallion’s birth took place on February 15, 1995, in Houston, Texas, USA. She was born Megan Pete to her mother Holly Thomas and her father Joseph Pete Jr. Her mother passed away in March 2019 due to a brain tumor used to rap under the name Holly-Wood.

Growing up, Megan Thee Stallion’s mother took her to recording sessions rather than putting her in daycare. Other info about her parents, family, and siblings is not known.

Education, Ethnicity

After graduating from high school, she enrolled at Prairie View A&M University and later at Texas Southern University to study health administration. As of 2019, she is in her third year at Texas Southern University.

Her ethnicity is African-American.

The younger rapper is well known for her sensual songs but her personal life is far from the eyes of the public. 

It was rumored in 2018 that she was dating Carl Crawford, the ex-fiancee of Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada. However, the rumors turned out to be false. She is unmarried sans husband and children. 

Megan Thee Stallion was in a relationship with rapper boyfriend Moneybagg Yo, whose real name is Demario DeWayne White, Jr. As of October 2019, 27-year-old Moneybagg Yo has 7 children with four different women. The pair only dated for a few months.

Currently, she is dating Pardison "Pardi" Fontaine.

Megan Thee Stallion – Career

Pre-fame

Megan Pete began writing her own rap at the age of 14. And when she told her mother that she too wanted to be a rapper, her mother replied that she had to until she was 21 to pursue rapping as a career.

In 2013, while a student at Prairie View A&M University, a video where Megan Thee Stallion was battling against male opponents in a cipher went viral. It helped her gain followers on social media and soon gathered massive followers.

Pete adopted Megan Thee Stallion as a stage name, a nickname she had gained in her teens due to her height and beauty.

EPs and Albums

In 2016, Pete released her first mixtape titled Rich Ratchet followed by the release of EP Make It Hot in 2017. The same year in 2017, Megan Thee Stallion went on to release a video titled Stalli (Freestyle), a rework of XXXTentacion's Look At Me!

She signed with the indie label 1501 Certified Ent, owned by Carl Crawford in early 2018. In June 2018, Megan Pete released a 10-song EP titled Tina Snow, which debuted at #11 on the iTunes Hip Hop charts.

In November 2018, Megan Thee Stallion announced that has signed with 300 Entertainment, making her the first female rapper to be signed by the label. In 2019, she releases the single Big Ole Freak from the EP Tina Snow, also making an official video.

As of April 15th, 2019, Pete’s song Big Ole Freak reached number 99 on Billboard Hot 100. Her first full-length album Fever was released on May 17, 2019.

Pete’s lyrics explicit are well known to exert confidence and sensuality and present her sexuality throughout her lyrics, videos, and live performances. In an interview with Pitchfork, she said,

"It’s not just about being sexy, it’s about being confident and me being confident in my sexuality."

Furthermore, she is also a model and a choreographed dancer.

Megan Thee Stallion -  Shooting incident

In July 2020 it was reported that Tory Lanez had shot Megan while she was trying to leave. The police were called and Lanez was arrested for gun possession charges while Megan confirmed that she had suffered gunshot wounds.

The rapper publicly accused Tory Lanez of shooting her in August 2020, telling him to "stop lying."
