Tory Lanez allegedly shot Megan Thee Stallion while she was ‘trying to leave’

Tory Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, was the one who allegedly shot Megan Thee Stallion following a dispute inside his vehicle Sunday morning. 

A source close to PageSix said, “Tory fired the shots from within the vehicle while Megan was outside trying to leave. There is the video and the police are investigating. This is a case of a man physically harming and abusing a woman.”

LAPD’s spokesperson has not confirmed whether there was a video submitted to the investigation adding that any videos would “not be released until the case goes to court in order to protect the integrity of the case.” The spokesperson further added, “The detectives are seeking information regarding the shooting involving Daystar Peterson, and the investigation is still ongoing. I’m not privileged to what the detectives have right now.”

The police also have not revealed if Tory Lanez is a suspect.

On Saturday night the 25-year-old rapper shared on Instagram Live that she was hanging out with Kylie Jenner and Lanez, 27. Just hours later responded to a “shots fired” call outside of a Hollywood Hills home at around 4:30 a.m.

Moments after the incident police arrested Lanez on gun possession charges. He posted $35,000 bail and was released at 10:05 a.m. and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 13.

Kelsey Nicole, Megan Thee Stallion’s best friend, who was also present in the vehicle, denied the claims that she was the one who shot Megan while admitting her presence during the incident.

On Wednesday Megan confirmed that she had suffered gunshot wounds during the incident via Instagram. The rapper shared, “The police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets. I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery, but it was important for me to clarify the details about this traumatic night.”

However, she did not name her shooter. In TMZ’s released footage Megan can be seen exiting Lanez’s SUV with what appears to be blood dripping from her feet. LAPD did confirm that “One person was transported to the hospital for a foot injury.”
