Ryan Paevey is a professional model, actor, and American national. He is well known for starring in the TV drama General Hospital as Nathan West and in Hallmark films Marrying Mr. Darcy, Christmas At The Plaza, Matching Hearts, and Unleashing Mr. Darcy.

Ryan Paevey’s birth took place on September 24, 1984, in Torrance, California, USA. He was born Ryan Jacob Paevey-Vlieger to his mother Linda Paevey and his father Les Vlieger. He is not the only child of his parents and has a sibling, a younger sister named Kaitlyn Paevey.

Early Days, Modeling

Paevey was scouted for modeling when still a high school student and had grown up working in construction with his father and bartending. Although he had never planned on getting into the entertainment industry and had turned down modeling opportunities, he eventually got into modeling.

As a model Ryan Paevey has worked opposite Katy Perry and Cher, and as a body double for Robin Thicke’s song Sex Therapy. He also has appeared in Christina Aguilera's Your Body, shot a campaign for Izod, and appeared in a Corona beer commercial.

After working several years as a model Paevey was encouraged to try acting, which he eventually did.

After numerous guest appearances and minor roles, Ryan Paevey was cast as Nathan West in General Hospital. He portrayed the character from 2013 to 2018 for a total of 280 episodes. Since then he has co-hosted Extra (2014), and The View (2015) as a guest and has presented the 42nd Daytime Emmy Awards.
