Who is Creed Bratton?

Creed Bratton is an actor, singer, and songwriter by profession.

Creed Bratton – Age, Parents, Siblings

Creed Bratton was born on February 8, 1943, as William Charles Schneider. His birthplace is in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A., and his parents are father William Frank Schneider, and mother Cozzette Schneider Ertmoed. 

His father tragically died when Creed Bratton was only two years old. The aircraft on which he was working exploded in Hawaii. Bratton’s paternal grandfather is Gustave Adolph Schneider, the legendary art director/production designer. But does Creed Bratton have any siblings? There are no facts related so we are not sure if he has any siblings.

Bratton grew up in a family of musicians. Both his parents and grandparents were musicians. So needless to say, he too took a liking for music at a very young age. He was raised in  Coarsegold, California. 

Education, Ethnicity

During high school, he started his career as a professional musician. After graduation, he attended Sacramento State College and College of the Sequoias where he studied theater. In college too, he continued his career in music. 

His ethnicity is English, German, and Irish.

Creed Bratton – Girlfriend, Wife, Children, Divorce, Affair

Creed Bratton began a relationship with his girlfriend Josephine Ann Fitzpatrick. After dating for some time, they got married on 1 September 1967 but soon divorced in 1974.

Bratton then went on to marry Claudia Watkins Anderson on 29 February 1976. But this marriage too saw its end on 1 February 1983. He has a child from each marriage. One of his children is a daughter named Annie Bratton while other details of his children are all under the covers.

As of now, he is thought to be single with no affairs known.

Creed Bratton – Career

In music

In his initial career, he tried his career as a traveling musician. He changed his name to Creed Bratton and traveled through Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, playing guitar in festivals along the way. Warren Entner, an American guitarist was impressed by his music.

 So, when Bratton got back to the United States, they formed a band the 13th Floor- Bratton was the lead guitarist, Rick Coonce played drums, Entner played rhythm guitar, and Kenny Fukomoto played bass.

After recruiting Rob Grill, the band’s name was changed to The Grass Roots. Their 1967 first album Let's Live for Today became an instant hit and the band toured endlessly. From 1967 to 1969, the band released a total of 14 albums. With the numerous hit, the band was successful but short-lived.

Their recording company Dunhill refused to allow the band to write their own songs and in 1969, Creed Bratton was asked to leave the band. But that did not stop him from making music. 

He began his solo career. In 2001 he released Chasin’ The Ball and The 80’s. other albums followed his solo career- Coarsegold (2002), Creed Bratton (2008), Bounce Back (2010), Demo (2011), While The Young Punks Dance (2018).

In acting

Creed Bratton began his acting career in 1979. He has appeared in Mask, Heart Like a Wheel, Just One Of The Gynos (2008), Labor Pains (2009) The Ghastly Love of Johnny X (2012), I Am Ben, Terri, Staged, Saving Lincoln (2013). He has also starred in Grace and Frankie, Comedy Bang! Bang!, Franklin & Bash, Adventure Time with Finn & Jake, The Sisters Brothers (opposite Jake Gyllenhaal and Joaquin Phoenix).

But most of all, Bratton is known for playing a fictional version of himself in the hit NBC series The Office. The series has even won Emmy and Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards.

On the set of The Office, Creed Bratton has worked with Jenna Fischer, Phyllis Smith, Kate Flannery, Oscar Nunez, John Krasinski.
