Harlow Brooks, the former classmate of Olivia Jade Giannulli and fellow YouTube shared the inside details of her life in Los Angeles elite high school.

Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli were accused of paying $500,000 to USC officials in bribes to admit their two daughters Olivia Jade Giannulli and Isabella Rose Giannulli into the elite college.

Former classmate

A former classmate of Olivia Jade Giannulli, the daughter of Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli recently opened up about the college cheating scandal saying she is ‘not surprised’.

Harlow Brooks, also a YouTube personality went to high school with Jade. In a March 13 YouTube video, she said that she moved to Los Angeles in her junior year to attend a "super-elite private school in Los Angeles" for a week.

Brooks recalled,

“I remember when I was touring the school I saw a picture of Olivia Jade’s sister, actually, on the wall with the seniors and it was like, ‘Congratulations ... Bella for getting into USC!' And I was like, Wow …that’s crazy… USC is super hard to get into."

"Then I remember hearing later that Olivia had also gotten into USC and I was like, 'Whoa, that’s kind of crazy because USC is very, extremely hard to get into. So not only one sister, but both of them. Yea, I was like, I mean I guess it's because their mom is a celebrity, maybe she donates a lot of money, or paid someone to pretend her daughter's on the rowing team.”

Daily routine

Brooks also shared a "crazy amount of pressure" students face in the Los Angeles elite school. She revealed waking up at 6 a.m. every morning, went to school and by the time the school was over, it would be 4 p.m. Then she had to complete six hours of homework a night. She said,

“There’s a network of five to seven or so private schools in Los Angeles that are $30,000 to $45,000 in tuition every year. The work is literally harder than college. It is insane what these students go through to go to these schools because their parents think that they need to. Because they want them to go to Yale and Harvard and USC ... and if they can't get in they have to buy their way in."

Harlow Brooks also claimed that fellow students 'were taking Adderall, on antidepressants (and took) anti-anxiety medication to cope with the immense pressure they faced at school.

How does she do it?

Harlow Brooks, who shared a class with Olivia Jade Giannulli frequently saw her in the hallways and wondered how she was dealing with school and YouTube career hand in hand. Brooks had serious questions,

“How is she [Olivia Jade Giannulli] doing this? Like literally, I did not have time to even do anything out of school... other than school…. So, How does she travel for YouTube? How does she have time to make YouTube videos? An arrangement with the school or something? It just didn’t make sense to me. These schools, it’s your life... literally 100 percent school.”

I’m not surprised

Brooks also confessed that she was not surprised when the college cheating scandal came out, saying,

“When this whole cheating scandal came out I’m not going to day I was surprised… in that world you hear a lot of stuff about.. like.."you know my dad just bought a building.. so I don’t have to worry about getting..." That is not something that is uncommon and I feel that we have all known there are a lot of schools that are like pay to play."

"The fact that she took away an athletic scholarship from someone who deserved it, and didn't have the money to pay for USC and had been training all their life to get on the rowing team - it's just crazy. When I was at the school they tried to get me to join the rowing team, and I'm pretty sure she wasn't even there."

Trying to intimidate

In the following YouTube video, Harlow Brooks revealed how several other students from Olivia Jade Giannulli’s high school alma mater threatened to come to her house to try and intimidate her while also threatening to sue her. 

“‘I am gonna give you a few days to get this video down or I’m going to sue you for all of your money.’ And I was sitting there like.. did you watch my video?

The interesting thing that’s completely ironic about their response to my video was the fact that they attacked me in the exact way that proves the concept of privilege I was talking about. They literally threatened to shut me up, to take all my money because they did not like what I was saying.”
