Who is Veronica Merrell?

Veronica Merrell is one-half of the Merrell twins. She is well known for her role as Victoria in the series Jane the Virgin. More than that, she is known as a YouTuber.

Veronica Merrell’s birth took place on August 6, 1996, in Kansas City, Missouri, USA as Veronica Jo Merrell. Her father Paul Merrell worked as a video producer while her mother Wendy Merrell worked as a school secretary. As a sibling, she has a twin sister, Vanessa Jo Merrell.

Education, Ethnicity

The Merrell twins went to the same high school, although they have not shared the name of their high school. After graduation, both enrolled at the same college although they have chosen different majors. Veronica Merrell’s major is screenwriting while Vanessa Merrell’s major is TV production.

Vanessa Merrell even tweeted their excitement to their fans in February 2015.

In the fall the Merrell twins had shared that they were on a break from studies and it is not clear if they ever went back to college.

Her ethnicity is Mexican, Portuguese, Spanish, German, and Irish.

Who is the older one of the Merrell twins? Veronica Merrell is 45 minutes older than her twin Vanessa Merrell. Their mother gave birth to Veronica Merrell easily but Vanessa had to be delivered via cesarean “c” section, thus the 45 minutes age gap.

Similarities and differences?

Being identical twins, Veronica Merrell and Vanessa Merrell are hard to separate. But it’s not impossible! Veronica has dimples only on the left cheek while Vanessa has dimples on both cheeks. Also, Veronica is the one who is lactose intolerant.

Their parents have given them the same middle name, Jo!

Veronica Merrell – Boyfriend, Husband, Children

Merrell was in a relationship with Ryan. But their relationship did not last long and the couple broke up. After the separation, she revealed that she was “focusing on making herself happy rather than finding happiness in other people.”

After four years of dating, she got engaged to her boyfriend Aaron Burriss in late 2021. The couple married on December 27, 2021. They do not have any children yet and live with their pug.

Veronica Merrell with her twin sister had landed different roles in different commercials for the company Build-A-Bear in 2008.

Before fame

The Merrell Twins’ first video, What It's Like to Be a Twin, was uploaded to YouTube in 2009. But they completely forgot about it until two years after, they happened to check it. Their channel had gained 2,000 subscribers and had amassed 10,000.

Encouraged and determined, both got together and tactfully began to make videos while their father edited the videos.

In 2013, the Merrell twins moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. So far, in a couple of years, they have already landed minor TV and film roles. Veronica Merrell portrayed the role of Victoria in the series Jane the Virgin, for a total of 5 episodes from 2014 to 2016.

Along with her twin sister, she has appeared in Faking It (2015) as Willa, The Standoff (2016) as Mia, and Hyperlinked (2017) as Missy. In addition, they are regular guests on AwesomenessTV videos.

Most of all, they are known for their YouTube channel Merrell Twins, where they have over 4.1 million subscribers and counting! In June 2020 the twins made it to the cover of Vogue.
